Hazel and Mike from Open Change were at the Service Design in Government conference in London. Alongside our partners Rod Mountain and Steven Kyle we facilitated a workshop and gave two presentations:
- Rip + Mix is a hands-on idea generation workshop, using tools we developed with colleagues in Dundee and at Deutsche Telekom, Berlin.
- Designing Realistic Medicine – Rod Mountain, consultant surgeon at NHS Tayside and Mike Press from Open Change talked about using service design to help realise a number of the aims of the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland’s Realistic Medicine initiative.
- City of Service Design – Steven Kyle of Dundee City Council’s Chief Executive’s Department and Hazel White from Open Change talked about the City of Design Academy and a number of initiatives in Dundee to build capacity in service design.
For Open Change this was a great opportunity to catch up with the service design community, and learn from others.
