The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Design

Hazel and Mike contributed to the recently published Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Design.

The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Design provides a comprehensive guide to design, with entries on key topics in the history and theory of design, addressing a range of design forms including graphic, textile, furniture, metal, ceramic, fashion, stage and film, vehicle and product design, as well as national histories of design and key design movements.

This is an Encyclopedia of design for our times. It provides current perspectives on what is most significant for design in the twenty first century, including its ideas, languages, people, places, things, and channels of communication. It will be valuable resource for students, scholars and those simply interested in design. Prof Hazel Clarke, Research Chair, Parsons School of Design, New York, USA
